Mighty Two String

Old fiber box. Piezo. The stick (neck) is a 1x1 inch scrap of poplar with a 1/4 inch heel. Tuned G/D.This is my first I/V tuned deuce and I once again, I had to ask myself, "What were you thinking? Why did you not build one of these before?"I had built deuces, but they were octave tuned, GG. Good, but right now this one suits me to a tee. There is a video with it. Tell me how you think it sounds.

  • Good deal, Bear and Dani!

  • I'm late to the party again being a year since you uploaded this but I echo what's already been said. Delicious looks on this. Good research for my HOPEFULLY quick and easy chugger build using a skinny box.

  • Thanks, Gary and Pick.

  • yum  yum

  • Coolness, Uncle John!  Actually an awesome box - one that everyone has seen!  I've got a friend that I'd like to make a "Home-Made" (brand) CBG for, as he remembers that being the brand his grandad always smoked.  The boxes I've located on eBay all tend to be on the smaller side, though...

  • Thanks, Jim and Jock.  Yup, on the pressed fiber, but it sounds good.   Jock, I used to do Gg.

  • Yes, two stringers are fun, and you have made a beaut there.

My first one was tuned Ee, but I quickly changed to GD and I find it a good combo.

    (must check out the video)

  • Yup.

  • I like it Unc! Cardboard I'm guessing.
