My latest project. I had a single-wound pickup left over, so i decided to build a lap steel. Turned out pretty well; I followed the Seymour Duncan wiring diagram for a single-coil with volume and tone controls and.... It worked!Body is glued-up "select pine" lumber, fretboard maple with brass frets and fret markers punched out of flatpicks.The pickup mount/pickguard is just 1/8" hardwood plywood.

Pretty decent. I've been running it through my Behringer amp with a little overdrive. I need to do a tiny bit of work on the action to get the strings absolutely level, and I'll try to put a video up.

Very nice! You really ought to stay away from lap steels, though. They are HIGHLY addicting - lol
