Nice. A lot of us accumulate a lot slides. I've gifted quite a few with guitars or I would have more. I think you would like to add a Dave Lynas slide to the collection. I love his for the art, content and function. My fave using slide is a tapered Dunlop brass #230. Kind of heavy, but forgiving of my sometimes poor technique
Thanks Bones & Jerry. I never used a Bic but I remember using a beer bottle (it probably had beer in it). And yes Dave/Randy... I want one just need to find the right time.
Wow nice collection bro...I am getting my order of water buffalo bones for my new all bone slides next week. Mojobone as they will be known. The buffalo bone is denser then cow bone and produces a much better sound.
In the old days I used a plastic Bic lighter as a slide, and I liked the tone, but they only sounded good whole.,.,I tried hollowing one out and the good tone went away.,.,then about a year ago I got a Bretz Mojobone slide.,.,to my ears it sounds similar to an old Bic., now its my favorite.,.,sockets n glass are good too.,., plated thick brass is nice.,.and ya gotta have a least 5 Lynas slides.,.,each one sounds a little different.,., ;).,., :)
