What a cracking festival..absolutely beautiful location, fantastic line-up (Andy Fairweather Low, Steve Harley, Roachford to name but a few), crystal clear onstage sound. Even the weather came good after a very wet Saturday morning, it was fine and sunny later in the day...at twilight it was something to behold..the venue was the cricket ground in the centre of a lovely Derbyshire village and surrounded by hills...the houses cluster around it in a ring, and you could see the lights coming on in the windows all around as the sun was setting. This was the first one, and I really hope it happens again next year. I had a great reception from a very lively and generous crowd...the first time I've played a gig with crush barriers in front to the stage...top event!!!To top it all off, some people managed to blag their way backstage after my set and bought a guitar off me!
