.. and the nex one! This Cuban "Partagas" violin has a fingerboard handmilled from black tempered oak, a pear neck and a chin-rest also from oak. I payed a lot of attention to the inner bracing to compare the sound to the first ones.

Thorsten, the neck has a kinda nose to fit it into the edge of the box. Then I screw and wood glue them together. An upper screw is inclined to pull the neck tightly into the edge of the box. Two horizontal screws below pull the heel to the box. The fingerboard is then glued to the neck. I use cable ties and shift them towards the body to get a tight fit.
Steve, the intention is to make series and to expose them in a cigar shop in the city center of Vienna, where the affluent banksters buy their fat cigars. Hope to sell them for some €€€ :-)
What about building your own? I could provide you with the neck template in pdf and hints how-to via e-mail. It's a quite new experience and a lot more time consuming, but interresting to learn about violin characteristics.
