  • Thanks Maddog.

  • That's just as purdy as punch JM! Love it!

  • Oh yeah, there are four pegs on the drone side but one of them is unused at this time.

  • Thanks Battmann. The tuning on this one is dd,a,D  and the drones are tuned the same, in reverse order, with a single high d. The frets are only under the melody strings which are the paired dd. I'll probably change that since after looking more closely at other instruments like this the frets are under the whole first group of strings. I had to use a wrench on the zither tuners since I didn't have a proper tuning hammer but I've since ordered one which will make tuning easier, I hope!

  • great work . enjoyed the video also,. nice sounding,. could you comment on the tuning setup. ? how many strings get  fretted and  are the drone strings all tuned the same,.

  • Thanks Gary!

  • Wow.   That's pretty danged awesome, Bro. Jim!   Nicely done!

  • Thanks Erasmo. Wasn't trying to fool anybody - just attempting a faithful replica. For me the part I was proud of was the metal pickguard cut from an old rusty breadbox. - since I hate cutting and trying to shape metal.

  • Thanks Unc.
