Ebony movable bridges with phosphor bronze saddles. The saddles have a very fine thread and are an interference fit so don't move around.

  • Hi Dan. Thanks for the message. If you look at this picture you will see three small (M2 cheese head) screw heads protruding from the brass plate. Each one runs in one of the movable bridge channels. What they do is give the second of a two point location for the bridge piece so that it stays in line, the other locating point being the fixing screw. I hope this make sense.
  • Very nice John. I had an idea in my head for a while to do something along this lines, but never got around to working out the details. I was trying to work out the length/height of the piece so that the strings would not hit it between the tailpiece and the screw slot. BTW, what purpose does the slot in the bottom of the piece serve?
