Cool that you re-purposed non working stuff. Even better - and a little surprising - that your build sings nicely. You, know it would be really cool if you could manually fro the back - make the bird come out.
Perhaps the best use for one of these things EVER. My parents got one when I was a kid and the freakin' thing drove me nuts. Either getting used to the sound every 1/2 hour or the silence when the infernal tick-tock quit because it needed the weights raised.

I have restored Cuckoo's for years, This was a box put together with many different box pieces,, piezo rod and sounds Great !
