  • Hey Reverend ! .... yes the pie pan is the resonator, with at least 40 holes drilled in it, and YES, the cover is a piece of .025 thick copper coated aluminum, and the tail piece is made from that too... I beat the cover piece with a small ball peen hammer until my girlfriend yelled at me to STOP !! Sometimes I pick up old cookie/biscuit tins at Goodwill and cut the bottoms out for cover pieces too.

  • So, after seeing your earlier pictures, the pie plate is your resonator.  Is this cover just a piece os sheet metal, drilled and distressed?    Looks way cool!

  • Gobble! Gobble!  ;-)   Nicely done!

  • another beaut.,.,

  • And a mostly-consumed Turkey bottle.  That's blues, baby!

  • I am in the midst of fabricating a "proper handle" akin to the kind found on National Resonators, but it will be a few days before getting around to finishing it.... and the "seegar" saddle is also a temporary deal, until I can decide what works best

  • Seegar saddle.  Yup, that handle over it was a good way to go.  Looks like something I would play.  Not hinting, I have too many.  But just a style I would feel good about.
