Dough Bowl amp

Made from a vintage Minisuing dough bowl. The amp kit, a Tone Monster from Guitar Fuel is pre wired making for easy installation and insured success. I added a 4 1/2 inch 8 ohm speaker and grill cloth from a radio collector. The top is Walnut laminate and walnut grill. The knobs are vintage radio knobs. It sounds great! Loud with attitude on high gain. Pure and clear on low gain. It's a big 12 inch wood bowl.

  • Hi guys. I just found all your comments in my junk mail folder. Gmail must not think much of you guys. :*). Anyhow. Bluesheart, it has a stand now and is up at our food bank for Empty Bowl. The stand is great. I've made another for my guitar amp. And Jim, the hole is a sound hole for the back of the speaker's sound coming out of the bowl. And Andy, the Monster I used is the 2 watt pre wired kit. You just install the components. I think it's about 30$ with shipping included.
  • Totally awesome! Is it gonna stand up or just lay back? Either way it is beautiful!

  • Coolness factor!

  • love it.,.,reminds me of the man on the moons son drinking from a blue straw.,.,pure art.,.,

  • This amp is a 10+ on looks alone!

PS: The extra hole? A no-brainer: Toothpick holder! ^^
