the next pic in the series shows the strings at the tailpice: http://www.cigarboxnation.com/photo/tailpice-of-cakepanjolele?conte...
this is on a ukulele with a 15 inch scale length...you can get Aquila Nyguts for classical guitar but they have metal overwindings like classical guitar strings. If you want to go the all nylon route you can try weedwacker line, too. I have an old Harmony guitar that I have tuned up a bass ukulele with different gauges of white weedwacker line. Super cool bass! It took forever for the stings to stretch out, though.
WOW! "NYGUT" strings! That's somethin' that's been "on/in back of my mind". Even though I'm a strictly steel string kinda guy, I've been thinkin' 'bout how "Nygut" would be in keepin' with "original spirit of CGB's!
Do you have any pix of how the stings attach to the bridge, and the tuners on your build(s)?
Thanks, but I stole the idea from bluesboy jag's site. They work fine for the nygut strings but I don't know if I'd try them on steel strings. However if they did wear out it would be pretty easy to refret.
