Thanks for the comment, Chester, though "better than" is purely subjective and relative. Hey, I might want to borrow your "inverted pie pans" idea sometime, if you don't mind. Those instruments look really intriguing to me. And then sometime I gotta make a CB amp, so I may be asking for advice down the road!
well it took me a long time.1st the thing just flat out did'nt work but I continued trying but still nothing, then yesterday I picked it up with all cylenders going I tracked it down to a faulty batterry snap, but nooo to easy then after changeing it out it still did'nt work so I narrowed it down to the input jack pluged it in and all I got was a buzzing sound so just before giving up I took a long hard look at the parts placement and 5 seconds from giving up I saw that I had the transistor in backwards.Well thanks to your support I am pleased to saythat it works just fine and I can build them in my sleep.Thank you for the incouragement
At this time I should come clean and let you know that I am mentaly disabled and I some time have a hard time understanding things I went to the site and saw all the trancfers and parts list ,but for the life of me I can't find the 1 resistor that is color coded Brown Green Green. Is there any way I can use one that is close and if so what would it be color code wise that is.I would also like to ask you if you would consider making me one with out the expensive parts as I have them all or if I am stepping out of bounds here then would it be possible to send me close up pics of the one you have and maybe just baybe I can get it right.I just know that I will be able to make more once I get over the hump.I really appreasiate what you have done so far.Thank you .After you read this go over to my pics to see my Alien CBG.

I'll figure out how to contact you PM-wise, or e-mail (or whatever it's called here).
