ChilicoolKev at Upton Blues Festival

This was only Kev's 3rd gig....it takes some commitment and bottle to face up to a bar full of people who want to be entertained...warming up the room for Hollowbelly...that's a man's job, and Kev was well up to the task. I'm so pleased to be involved in trying to support people in carving out their own musical direction..keep on keeping on Kev!

    Only just seen this pic, it was a bit daunting playing a major Blues fest and going on before the Man, but I'm glad I did it...I enjoyed it, thanks for all your comments, Tex, Mark, Brian,Brickdust,Steve and CBJ... your support really mean's a lot, Cheers.

    A bit of a baptism of fire I guess - and not just because it was hot in that room - I mean not only warming up for Hollowbelly and Chickenbone Blues but doing it in a town full to the brim with blues fans and musicians! Kudos to you Kev. I have to apologise because I meant to say hi after I'd watched HB's set but I couldn't see you around at that point (that's me leaning on the bar in the background). Hope to catch you at Boxstock.
