  • Hi Diane , good to see your cool build as the featured build , top marks on the feature and build .. very cool
    juju :-)
  • Such a pretty build! The cigar box edges lok like inlay, very cool.
Great idea about joining boxes (BTW).

  • I'll work on my chops and try to post one soon. Good intonation on this one is waaaaaay harder to get than a regular old cello. And the reversed high and low strings are messing with my tiny mind.
  • There are two 1" holes in the ends of each box that match up. They are held together with some glue and two bolts. The box sides are not exactly parallel, so there is a shim on the top edge of the join, right under the fingerboard to bring them up square.

I don't really know if the 1" holes are big enough to make any difference. But I did it anyway! ;->
  • WOW. um, WOW! Are the boxes "sonically joined" as in now one big box? You sure do make nice instruments!
  • Another beautiful instrument, but really I do not understand the frettage, to play the appalachian mode for an agreement which makes sus4 you think
