I used a scale length of 680mm and I used the stewmac calculator with 12 frets set to dulcimer. It seems to automatically give you the 6 1/2 fret but lists it as the 7th fret not 6 1/2. I rounded to the nearest 1/2mm. Here is what I used...
Rob,
Looks really nice. I'm looking at my 2nd and 3rd now but have only recently thought about using dulcimer fretting. Could you please tell me what scale length you used and where you got your fret positioniing from. I know Stewmac has a calculator available online. I assume by the close spacing after the 6th fret that you have the 6+ fret - but my knowledge of dulcimer fretting is new and growing. Thanks, John D

stewmac - I used
-----------------------------
1- 74.189mm - 74mm
2- 140.284mm - 140.5mm
3- 170.576mm - 170.5mm
4- 226.154mm - 226.0mm
5- 275.67mm - 275.5mm
6- 298.363mm - 298.5mm
7 - 319.783mm - 320.0mm (6 1/2)
8- 340.000mm - 340.0mm (7)
9- 377.094mm - 377.0mm (8)
10- 410.142mm - 410.0mm (9)
11- 425.288mm - 425.5mm (10)
12- 453.077mm - 453.0mm (11)
This seems to be correct. Hope this helps.
