    I've been doing the same and then buffing it out by hand using "Never Dull" and turns looking chromed - takes a good 30 - 45 minutes but looks great!

    Thanks! I use a 1/8" x 2" x 3' piece of angled aluminum from Home Depot. Then I cut off a 2" piece, cut one side down to 3/8", grind and polish it with a wheel and voilà, hard tail!
