One problem is that one side is often more flexible than the other, so the sides now aren't symmetrical. No fears; once the kerfed linings are glued in top and bottom, that SHOULD fix things. Otherwise, gluing top and bottom will force sides back into true.

Looks like it's going to be a nice uke. Can't wait to see the finished product. Personally I wouldn't worry about it bending uneven. That just gives it character.
I see your problem, it is how you drilled near the heal. See that drill hole next to the heal weeked that side more. so it bends more than the other side. Jay at tinyguitars builds strummers like that but a the butt of the heal he drills a hole so when he saws the sides he just has to pull out the center piece. And yes mine look the same way before he put the top and bottom on and it will sound good. I can't wait to see it done.
