    i was surprised how expensive those tapering tools are. at least from stewmac, they have two sizes. i do have a tapered file.

    Thanks Daniel. The friction pegs work pretty well if you taper the holes properly. Still I might try to figure out how to put some violin fine tuners on this just to assist the tuning process a bit.
