I am amazed at the originality of the other members. Their instruments look so professional.
I just finished building a hobo fiddle from a kit and it turned out really well. This one has the nylon strings. I was wondering if anyone has built one and installed steel strings and if so what guage would work for the higher pitch.
Read more…I began building stick dulcimers a few months ago and am experimenting with piezo pickups. However I am getting an awful hum from the pickup even though I have been very careful with the soldering etc. Can anyone help me with this??
