Giving to people in the hospital appeals more to me as well. I recall years ago being in the hospital: things that alleviate boredom and provide a way to express yourself tend to be hard to find.
Military = regulations, so I looked into the regulations yesterday, just a quick look, and it seems it would need approval but not be much hassle. I'll go ahead and call the number of the donation coordinator and see how it would be done. If I recall, as long as the value is small and you're not trying to also sell them some new fangled expensive weapon or otherwise banned from giving it should be OK.
I was thinking it would be good to ask if anyone else is interested in joining and making it a coordinated effort. Even just a few people making one each would add up, and I think it would be a great way to offer a little support to those injured fighting our wars. Should we post a request for others to join?
Thank you, Mark for the nice comment on my recent build. I am having a slight problem with a ting noise; I think I need to place some more screws in the tag because it rattles. When I laid it on the table, I noticed another problem which I have to fix----the neck was headed north---the tension on the strings pulled it upward. The neck is made out of poplar; I didn't add a heel underneath the neck which I need to do. I think that will solve the problem. I hope so.
Thanks Dianne. I appreciate the feedback. I've seen your work as well and have been impressed. I'm trying to figure out the process for donating the St Louis Blues CBG to a team charity. With a couple autographs I think it would be a pretty cool item for an auction.
Welcome aboard, Mark! You will find lots of helpful folks and information here on all things CBG (CBB, CBU, etc.) Feel free to poke around, ask questions, and post your stuff (photos, recordings, videos, etc.).
