Read more…What is the correct way to install this pickup? Have two by accident and it appears the two screws go through the top of the box through springs and onto a bottom fixed plate, the oval used for the lid cutout has no room for error.

Read more…Build stronger than I did. Make the base plate 2x4 or 6 and use 1x4 for the butt piece, headstock, and 'fretboard area'. No dado-ing that way. Glue and screw. I think the basic design works.
Read more…I have routed a couple pup cavities with plexi route templates, and have noticed that the bit, even with it's bearing, is marring the edge of the template. Antone know why that might be? The bearing spins freely and the set screws are ok.
