Buzz niise

Trying to finish this three-string with Bridge pickup and preamp for some reason when I plug it in it has a buzzing noise and it Mellows out when I touch the strings almost like it's a bad ground not sure why

Grounding is the cause of this 99.9% of the time. In a small number of other cases, it could be caused by florescent lights, a bad audio cord or an un-grounded wall outlet where your amp is plugged in. Start with the grounding on your guitar.

have you grounded the bridge?  sounds like the strings are not grounded.

This happened to me, turns out in my haste I inadvertently crossed the wires when I soldered the jack. “Grounding issue”.
