A while back I posted Part 1 to this, covering the mortise block, but stuff came up (chores, pandemic, filing for unemployment...). All two of you showed interest, but I'm all about follow-through, so here's Pa
i have built several CBGs but still consider my first attempt as my best effort. However, My build included a piezo pick up wired directly to the jack. I didn’t realise how sensitive it would be and was rather dismayed when it picked up every bit of
I've seen some oil can builds where they made an opening in the back so they had access to the interior. I would prefer not to to do this. Has as anyone done it without the back cutout? Any feed back would be welcome. Also how did you attach the neck
I'm a newbie at this so please be patient with me. I've been trying to make my own necks but my woodworking skills are a bit clumsy. I've been able to make scarf joints but I'm very sloppy when I try to notch the headstock for the tuners. How bad wou
Hi, is anybody else having problems with this site? I can't see photos or post them and no videos either. I reported the issue some days ago, but no advise. Also looks like no bodies posted on the forum, or if they have, I'm not seeing them.

With my last two builds (numbers 3 and 4 for me) the low G string sounds funky. It's in tune at open and at the 12th fret, but in between, it's off, especially at the first few frets.

I have been working on these since I finished my 12 String Biscuit Tin during Quarantine. I wanted to get the sound of the 12 String and scale it down to something more familiar and whilst I have a few other ideas on how to do this and will be trying
I saw a post somewhere on this site about a banjo build contest, now I cant find it. I need to check the details again, can anybody show me how to find it again please. Thanks
I have spent hours searching again, (my search skills suck). Looking for any info I can about cutting the headstock and adding a zero-fret to a C.B. Gitty fretted neck. There are several firsts here in my build history. First pre-made nec
