Summer's End by Snuffy Smith

Been awhile since I uploaded. I wrote this a couple days ago. Today was the first day I got it sounding half decent. It's still not organized, and it's full of flubs. But hey, I've only been playing a little over 3 months now, so give me a break.

  • Thanks Turtle, Jim and Uncle John. It's weird how the simplest, most unexpected idea comes out of nowhere and grows from nothing. I really "wung" this one and was ad-libbing as I went along, hence some of the points of hesitation. Now I just have to go back and relearn the parts I really like, LOL.

  • Wow, that is a pretty song and good playing.  No need for apologies.   On perfection, I was reading yesterday that guitar and country great, Buck Owens, did not like to record with studio musicians because their technical excellence lacked a spontaneous feeling.

  • Very nicely done Smitty! It's all coming together for pretty quickly.

  • Thanks, Pick!

  • good stuff  man .  ;-)

  • Thanks! Ex-drummer....stopped playing 25 years ago. After 25 years, it occurred to me how much I missed playing music, but an old injury was never going to allow me to play drums like I use to (I was a hard rock drummer). I love playing this instrument so much...it's like a gift from heaven!
