Some These Days

Electric slide version of Charlie Patton's Some These Days from circa 1927. Iowa Saxophone too.The Wolf guitar to my right was a wreck gifted to me with good old hippie symbols all over it and the back, top and braces at least half unglued. It may end up being a playable tenor (formerly a 6) or a wall hanger. I painted it a rough black and it told me to do the wolf. Okay.So far, I am not much affected by Covid or quarantine. I feel fortunate about that. Jamming in the den, getting out in the shed and building, biking, walking, hiking, eating good, staying healthy. And listening to a lot of good music on CBN and FB.

  • Thanks, Derek.  The Wolf is ready for strings.  Maybe Monday.

  • Good strong old blues Unc. Music is a lifeline. Enjoyed your performance and hope to hear the Wolf soon.

  • Very glad to hear you are doing well too, Rick.  Gonna play some, bike some, help clean house, watch This Old House on PBS then go out for a BBQ at our son's.   Maybe play some disc golf out there.   Jalopena and horseradish brats and burgers on the grill.   Life is tasty.

  • Really enjoyed the instrumental intro, great slide guitar playing and harp Uncle! I bet you mend up the Wolf guitar and play it like a champ. You sound healthy and happy, same here, lucky and blessed we are.

  • Thanks Kale, Bob, RTZ and Nancy.   RTZ, a couple of the things Linda and I do miss is going to the nursing homes with music and going to the library.  I am out of books and may have to do on an ebook.  You can't read an ebook in the bath tub.

  • Bluesy good stuff U~John harp sure can bring it home nice!! Fitting for the times..Meowwww^..^4622435476?profile=RESIZE_710x

  • Well ain't the Blues relevant. well done

. depends on where you live and what you do for a living on how this crap effects you. Retired people have less to do but more to worry about. If your pro life you will do the right thing for the nursing homes and Elders in general. Take Care John

  • Glad you are keeping well Uncle J. Sounded great!  A smoooothly executed version if I may say so.  It's been a while since the inhabitants on this good earth have faced a global pandemic such as this.  Keep safe and keep playing.

  • Some mighty fine harpin' there uncle.

  • Thanks, Danny G.  I hope the wolf howls again.  Thanks, Denbo.  Glad you are doing well.  Take care of your sweetie.
