Thanks, Derek. Thanks, Kale. Thanks, Dave.
Yep, Derek, It works pretty well. Kale, I think you would get good out of a duclimer. Mine is strung backwards, big string (G) nearest me and small string (g an ovtave higher) farthest from me. D string in the middle. I don't have a store bought dulci to be sure, but think they are strung with the small string nearest the player. Big to small like on guitar seems more natural to me.
Me too, Dave on that song. I've maybe done it more on guitar than any other song except Amazing Grace.
I like that song Unc. Way back when I played out at bars, that tune got em dancing. I still love that song. Folks would do the Polka to it.
I'm really liking these CBD vids from you and James O. Maybe I need to build a dulcimer next.
Good tune on the dulcimer, Unc!
Thanks, James
Very good Uncle John Dulcimer sounding good with some fine Harp playing fine performance
Thanks, Andries. Yup. That sweatshirt has some color pop. I need a little color.
it must bee because of the color video, your last couple of video's where in black & white, and now the blue sticks out so promenetly i wondert? i can be mistaken whit James O his old brown Dulci boxes as well, sorry! they sounded the same , so i wondert how did he do that build one that sounds just like the other one? Solid UJ !
That is very kind, Pick! And probably not too accurate! Thanks! I've had the dulcimer a while now, Andries. It is a nice change up instrument.
Thanks, Alan and Doug. Hey guys, remember when you were new to stringed instruments and it was very hard to sing and play at the same time? If you play harp enough, it gets natural and easy. So adding guitar or dulcimer, etc. is not too hard. Although, I do remember being kind of thrilled the first time I could do it.
You are really getting into the dulcimer! The “Iowa Sax” adds color. Two instruments at once is beyond my skill set! Well played and sung!!!
