check out the slow motion at the end, another inch and index finger would be in the scrap pile... (fortunately no injury, but a must see if you think your current push stick is "safe".Oh, and if you got a cheap table saw from home depot, BUY A NEW BLADE FOR IT!I just got a 60 tooth multi purpose one for about $30,.. makes ALL the difference, You will laugh at how much better it is than the standard 24 tooth that comes on most saws that is best for rip cuts and destroying / burning the necks of your cbg. :)

hand saws still work and I don't know who would cause a kickback intentionally, and use a short push stick.

Yeah scary! And you're right anon, I was the idiot doing wrong stuff about 15 years ago and the tips of two fingers had to be re-attached. Lucky my head was off to the side. A whole year of not being able to play guitar and still diminished feeling in my left middle finger has made me a bunch more cautious. Still a good post to show what can happen.
