Note: this has nothing to do with homemade instruments but I thought some folks might enjoy it.It's the third Friday in July so it's time for another episode of Kazoo Fridays. This week, I compared 3 popular kazoos: plastic (about $.080), aluminum (about $2.00), and wooden (about $10.00). Which one do you like best?

The metal one surely was the loudest , but then again METAL is usaly louder then other music styles , and u never tryed the home made One ,a comb whit sigarette rolling paper ,i even believe that the consept of the modern Kazoo evolves from that primitif consept where ( the top of the Kazoo is removeble and under the cap sticks a round membrane) (from thin ,but durable rolling Paper ) in my metal one atleast !
I liked the plastic one best Kale! I replayed the shootout portion again to make sure. Some times less ($) is more. Didn’t I hear someone say that recently?!!!

Interesting! Plastic I guess. I can fork out a buck for some traditional kazoo sounds.
I’m surprised you don’t have a Clarke, now those are loud!

I agree with you Doug. The plastic one definitely sounds the fullest.... and I think some 3-string playing yahoo did that say recently.
