It’s simple Danny. Retire and hang at the Lake or river or garden. Any shed will do for a Man Cave. Thanks Danny for all your nice comments. I love seeing your videos too and see how the music helps heal your mind.
Yup, a full firing to cone 10 is 250. Most of my big pots remain just bisque fired, sitting up on a tall shelf. Same for my potter friends. To wood fire big pots like that would take two chord of wood. Thank God for cups and bowls. By the time they are fired you’ve spent 5 to 10 bucks each at least.
Thanks for the Bee comments AGP. We have no honey bees anymore. We used to but they vanished many years ago. Lucky we have all these substitutes. Even bee flys that look like a bee. They act like bees too and pollinate the flowers. The wasps and hornets even work the flowers in autumn. Big Bumble bees bumble about and tiny sweat bees abound.
Hi Daniel. I don’t make big pots anymore. That’s a young rich potter’s Work. I make less is more pots. The pot you describe would cost 250$ to fire. Those green egg cookers are expensive for a reason.

Thanks Andries. Just 1000 miles upstream. I can hear the music way off across the water.
