  • Nice one Andries, You're so right,  Charley Patton songs conjure up feelings beyond the audible words. I believe he was quite a character, a real man who drifted from time to time and lived on the edge, and this seems to come across on a lot of his records.

Your rendition is all yours again here and nice imagery :-)

  • Well it is not my intension to explain the Blues, just the words of the song , im no docter in lingo, i just try to feel what he was saying, for me its mostly about feeling, and i feel some unexsplaineble tingles running up my spine, i suddelly feel like playing slide on my Uke,GCEG High strung Blues whit a hawaien feel!, get my drift ? Thanks guy's for all your nice comments glad you liked it! and Yes UJ i kind a felt he was singing about me in retrospect, but thats only projection, some how the stuff is deep and meeningfull ! Greeeeeettssszzz A.D.

  • Ace video, playing, singing Andries, superb.

  • Andries, you do some mighty fine Patton.   Funny to have a Dutch guy singing Charley's songs nearly a hundred years later and I can understand the lyrics for the first time.   You found some good pics too.   Just a real nice trip down the dirt road.  Thanks!

  • Good stuff Andries. I still live on a dirt road!
