This was my 2nd build, and first fret attempt. I switched to coat hangers after this (see my photos). Song is Stealin' Stealin' by Memphis Jug Band.

  • @ 407bug I use wood spade bits for the holes. Hand held drilling seems to be better so you can control the speed. I did one the other day with a drill press and it did not turn out too well. I have no plans on going electric on this one.

And thanks Sammy Lloyd, a friend just gave me 25 boxes that are small so I'm going to be making many ukuleles soon.

  • mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm..............that..... is....... stunning!

  • Nnnnnniiiiiiiiiccccccccceeeeeeeeeeee...I'm loving every detail.........

How do you your round resonator holes so well... such a good fit?

Yup,that is gonna sound amazing!......try using a 0.047 Paper in Oil cap too in the circuit....ky42 or ky40-09

(I got some rusky ones if you need one cheap..) will you be selling this one... add me to the list if you do??????

Can't wait to see it finished.....

  •  Nice little Uke that

  • Lovin it Dwayne, love to see some more of your tunes and as I'm really getting into cigar box ukulele's I'd love to see any hints/tips/discoveries in your builds. Nice one mate, well done.

  • I've started to build a baritone uke for my son. I hope it will sound like yours.

  • sounds goood!

  • I used Finishing Nails for frets and JB Weld.

  • Nice.  I love that song.

  • Nicely sung and played. The instrument sounds very good too.
