  • Sounds like a balalaika or maybe more like a bouzouki or due to his technique.

  • Well - that's cool!  Appreciate the comments; it IS amazing craftsmanship!  And I like that this sound may not be for everyone - glad we can all still be friends!  (Unlike some governments....)  ;-)

  • "Wow indeed Rev", interesting build, another one to add to my bucket list of builds to do, and I do like the sound!  :-)

  • Jim Morris might know him.  Cool video, neat guy.   I am going to disagree with you previous commenters.  I don't care for that sound!  I like dulcimer sound.   I like old timey (Not Scruggs style) banjo.  But this sound kind of grates on me.  Yup, with Dave - great craftsmanship.

    Thanks for posting, Rev.  Interesting.

  • Beautiful sound Gary. Craftsmanship!

  • Agree Gary! Th e guy is outstanding! Looks like his name is Gary Gallier on the intro. Great discussion and teaching method too!

  • Yep got you I'm amazed by the craftsmanship on both instruments mate .

  • Bones - I agree but want to make sure everyone knows this IS NOT me!  Hoping he's a buddy of Dave Lynas or Uncle John or someone here!
