A fine group of restored beauties, a mandolin orphanage. Another fine video demonstrates your craftsmanship and creative skills Dave! These sound great!
As if I didn't already have enough Gits in my collection Dave!, you now have me thinking I have to build a Slide Mandolin, and of course you know I will, as both you and I know, we are both Immune to Unc's Build Stop :-D
Interesting comment by you in 5 Mandolins Part 1, about "Trampling Turtles", and the fact that they use a Mandolin for slide, Iv'e been a big fan of them for some time now, and do have a few of their albums in my large digital collection of Music, I'm also now listening to them as I'm typing this! :-)
Thank you all for your feedback. And I do have more mandolins. I love that they are tuned the same as a fiddle. You can learn the finger positions from the mando. And visa versa. I’ll be playing more for my videos. I find all the String things inform each other. But then I’ve got a house full of instruments. Uncle John, how in the world have you emptied your home of all your Gits? Build stop is not working for me. Help!
Good, no wait for part 2. Nice Airline. Dave that scratch guard as you call it - some mando folks remove the pick guards thinking the sound will project better. I like the way you salvage instruments like some folks save animals. Sounds good in open tuning.

Good Job on the restoration of these old instruments Dave

I like Kay numero uno the best of all.
All five are really nice Dave. I like the looks of the last one but you're right... it needs some work.
