Nice mandolins Dave! Very informative tutorial, thanks! The second one sound ever so slightly better I think. The Regal looks the prettiest, sound hole and all.
Danny. We both play several different kinds of guitars. 1 string, two string, 3 string, 4 string, 6 string... A mando’s just a 4 string ukulele with double strings. Mandos have a very low action ( or should have ) so they play rather easy. They are light weight, pretty, sweet singers, and females. You get to hug em. Like a uke. They vibrate right on your heart. You can even get rid of 4 of the strings and it’s still a mando if it’s an electric mando.
Thanks Guys. I hope Oulu doesn’t pick the funkiest slider mando. I know I can get it running right for slide with a few more tweaks. I learned slide mando possibilities from Eric Berry of Trampled by Turtles. He played for our Holiday sale last year right in front of my space. I noticed a slide on his stand. I asked about it and he wailed out a tune using it. Wow! After, he came over and looked at my slides and found one that fit him. I gave it to him. He went back and changed his slide for mine. It felt very good !
That Kay is nice Dave !how many Kay's do you have, do happen to have a National Glenwood? Ahh i see thats two, that Regal has nice flame up front, sounds nice to! lovely Dave thanks !
ALL 3 SOUND AMAZING. I HAVE ALWAYS WANTED TO LEARN TO PLAY A MANDOLIN BUT HAVE BEEN TOLD THEY ARE REALLY HARD TO PLAY IF YOU HAVE BEEN PLAYING A GUITAR

Those Kay's sing. I'm writing a song for the first tune.

A nice trio of mandos. I really like the second one. They're all beautiful though.

Very, very cool, Dave. Nice playing as well.
Three Fine Vintage Mando's Dave!, I think I like the sound of the Regal, marginally better than the 2 Kay's :-)
I like that first old Kay! That is a sweet talker.
Nice po-man's repairs on Kay 2. I mean that in a complimentary way.
Oh, the Regal has a lovely wail. It must be a princess or queen. Definitely a female.
Very enjoyable, Dave.
