  Tuned to GBD (low to high), exactly the same as top three of regular open G..take the G and B of regular guitar tuning, drop the top E a full tone to D and that's it. I find it's a good starting point for cigar box slide guitar playing, as it's a straight transfer from 6 string open G (assuming you are familiar with 6 string open tunings), you just have to learn not to rely on the bottom strings for the bassline and rhythm work... play for around ten years and that's about it...
