Working on the Wormy Strummer

It`s coming along...got the lid cut for the sunken bridge. Ironwood fret board still needs slotted and fretted.

  • Yes Uncle....I like using that wormy butternut for the sides..lightweight but strong. So far ..1/4" maple bottom and a 1/4" spanish cedar top. Cherry neck -Ironwood fretboard ...ironwood nut, ironwood burl bridge. 8" hand drum inside. 3 string - 18" scale length - dulcimer slotting.   My thinking on the neck. is by using the thick ironwood fretboard I can thin down the playing area on the neck for more comfortable playing.
