Here you can see the 5th String Tuner installed. I installed it with the tuner knob positioned upward, but you can also position the tuner in such a way as the tuner knob points down. I chose to position it up so it would not interfere so much with my fretting hand when I play. If you look closely below the brass gear of the tuner, you can see a black hole in the neck. This is the hole that I drilled down the fretboard and neck, intersecting the shaft hole I had drilled so that I can thread the string into the string hole. You have to be pretty careful that everything lines up right.
