  Yup, single digits here in WV I can work for about 15 min in the shop and then come in and thaw out for 1/2 hour. Makes for some slow builds!

  Thanks guys. I think it helped the sound by going with 12" diam. on this one. Unc, I've had pretty good luck with tambourines. I usually look for the ones with a Remo PTS head since they seem pretty stable. The paint lid reso worked pretty well too.
