The frets are way worn and the fretboard dished bigtime. I decided to make her over into a lap slide.

    It sure would Uncle John, i think they make themselves known in the mojo in the guitar. I think it flows through you when you let their voice be heard again. Whoever played this guitar sure loved it. They played it till it wore out. Now it sings again. I know the guits want to come alive again to tell us their story. Wonderful mystery....

    I once owned an 1863 fretless banjo. It had a dished out neck like this. You could tell where to put your fingers without frets just from the dishes. Wish i still had that one...

    Man.  Those are some dishes!   Well played and probably well loved.   Will make a great wall hanger that can also play some slide.
