A while ago I bought a distressed Chinese violin from eBay and set about making a guitar. At first all went well. Successfully removed the violin neck etc. The new neck was another story. Everything that could go wrong did. So the violin was stuck in a corner of the workshop until spring this year. This time all proceeded smoothly and I have finally finished! Its tuned GDg and has mucho volume. In retrospect I should have had a shorter neck and had the bridge at the lower end of the F holes. C'est la vie!.

Yup, those are tricky to do. I have one in the shop and not nearly as nice as yours. Nice on the neck angle. That long neck looks okay to good. I think you are right on the bridge position, they are usually (I think) midpoint between the f holes. But you got the mucho volume, so it must have been meant to be.
