  • Kale, I can picture you quick drawing and twirling one.  Have you done any product reviews on cap guns?  Unboxing and testing.  Might be fun.

Ambrose,  ohh. I remember the little cases/packages now that you mention them.  That really caps off the memory.

  • Yep, had some of these a looooong time ago, gunslingin' out in the wild west parts of Central England... well, in the back gardens, fields and woods with me and my mates, sorry, fellow outlaws, riders of the range etc... I remember the rounds (rolls) came in little round cardboard cases... I am now  presently gazing into the distance while reminiscing...

  • Too funny. I remember those cap pistols.

  • LOL, Keith, that sounds like a boomer.

Yup, BQ.  We watch a lot of PBS, TCM, History and DIY.  Seems like about 4 nights a week.

  • That sure was the days, to be sure. Brother and I had a set of them. If you gents want some fun. You can take some stick matches, break them off, and put in 22 casings, pinch em flat at end, then hit them on cement with a hammer, and they will pop too.

  • Yea, Tom Selleck, he was in Louis L’amour’s Quigley down under? That’s a good one!  I watched a few recent ones on Netflix & they made me yawn, I can’t get away from the old greats. Thank goodness for TCM & the Western channel :D

  • BQ, have you seen 'The Highway Men' with Kevin Costner and Woody Harrelson?   Great movie.  'Hateful Eight' with Kurt Russell and directed produced by the Coen brothers?  Some good ones still our there.  I also like 'The Long Riders' and love the newer version of 'Monte Walsh' with, oh gees, what's the name of the guy from Magnum.  Tom???

  • Yea, nothing like the smell of a rapid fire cap gun! You have to look real hard to find a good cowboy in a box set. Too bad westerns are a thing of the past, it’s hard  to find a hero in today’s movies. I can watch those old ones from the 30’s & 40’s all day  :)

  • Yeah, BQ.  You must have been that noisy little turd that lived next door.

  • I would beg my parents to buy me the biggest pack of caps in the store. :D
