I have 5 cigar shops in my area and each one I made the owners their own simple build with the stores name painted on the neck, in exchange for cherry picking through their empty boxes.

The first Cigar Box Guitar I built with a proper cigar box used a Chateau Real box like the one in front right. I put a piezo element in it and it makes some very nice sounds.
Oh man I wish... even the cigar shops around here just buy them in plastic 'transfer packs'. I even sell Cubans in my Wine Shop but boxes are hard to come by!

Nice looking grip of cherries. I had one of those yellow lacquer MC boxes. Very narrow/thin inside, but worked very well...classy.
