Thanks Dave. I got this idea from looking at some bodhrans. There's at least one other banjo builder who does something very similar. I'm guessing I may have gotten some ideas from him too since he's been around for a while. Here's one of his.
Thanks Unc. Yes, this is one of my 16 sided banjo builds. It takes a bit more time but I can make it the size I want this way. I spent some extra time on this one since it's going to a local friend and I figured I'd see it again in the future.
