I sanded off gobs of old dark brown stain, paint to reveal some cool old veneer. The f holes were "s" holes, so i carved in the points. The mahogany bridge is my addition. Definately home made from the 30s or 40s. Like the pineaple of Komica ukuleles in shape. It sounds very good for a homemade. The neck is sturdy and the fretboard is thick and tapered from the nut to the body.

Gary, I,ve got some nice parts in the wings. One is a banjolin neck. It has a "pot stick" (extension from the heal to the tail). That should make a sturdy mando.
I,ve been enjoying the Mando's lately. Ever tried them Uncle? Two finger chords is my speed. I,ve got a dozen hanging around. Getting closer to building one from scratch.

Yup, Dave. I have a mando and do some 2 finger chords. I have a Jim Morris mando as well, but it is currently set up as a uke.
Pretty close to a ten, Dave.
Thank GW. It sure is fun to hear the bird when the strings go on and nothing breaks.... Sweet tunes.
Dave - you are an artist! Nice!
