Padronivarius is a simple maple neck (14 inch fret length)salvaged from a broken toy Uke and mortised into a Padron cigar box. I used the bottom of the box for the soundboard, shaved down a broken banjo bridge and fitted the remainder into a teak incense holder...after doing some reading on the resonance properties of various soundholes I finally got the nerve to freehand some Stradivarius F-holes, and the difference in tone is rather noticable-i'll have to keep using this pattern! The fact that I mounted a 'T' brace (thin cedar base bar like a violin coupled with a thin horizontal bar under the bridge) may have helped as well-once I added the brace and put the strings back on it was like I had turned on the Graphic Equalizer on a radio!
