One of the benefits of getting locally known for making weird musical stuff out of scraps - is that people now seem to give me broken instruments. This old banjer needed 2 tuners and some adjustments to the banjo head. It will go to my grand daughter Kayla, who had some interest in banjo.

I think she will, Wes. Yup, on the four stringer, Dave. You can also go Chicago tuning DGBE.
Thanks for remembering that. Jim. She gets the banjo next time we see her. The claw hammer is not getting much attention... Having fun learning to do all I can with the GDGB pot lid.
Nice banjo Uncle. I just got an Irish 4 string banjo to rehab. Mine needs the works. Tuners, head, bridge, tailpiece and a lot of buffing. It's tuned like a mandolin or fiddle. I'm interested to try it. My other 4 stringers are all long neckers that i tune in GDGD. Now it will be GDAE sir. Nice arm rest Unc.
Thanks, Mr. Gary. Kayla has a lot of talent and I once posted a vid of her playing 'Angel From Montgomery' on a six string I built. She is in college and not playing right now. I hope she gets back to it.

Good deal Unc. Now you can practice your clawhammer until Kayla gets out of school. I remember her excellent version of Angel from Montgomery.
