I was planning on doing a fancy lap steel with contoured wood; something like an old Fender or Rickenbacker but I thought I should do a practice one as a learning experience. So I got the cheapest pick-up and tuners I could find, and a piece of pine from my neighbors burn pile and threw this together pretty quickly. the bridge and nut come from a defunct Ryobi radial arm saw. Sounds pretty good and I must say I got the laps steel bug out of my system; for now anyway. The Steel Master logo comes from an old file cabinet.
