With shorter scales the intonation is definitely more critical but luckily it worked well this time. Another advice: Use different tuners these without gear don't hold the string tension very well on a Tenor.
Thanks Thorsten. I use the Stew Mag calculator also, but sometimes I seem to get off a little and the intonation suffers. This is mostly on shorter scales. If I can find a fret template, I want to try it that way.
The tenor is not as "crisp" as a standard Ukulele. Mine is quite soft, sounds more like a Spanish guitar. I have never expected it to be as loud and good sounding as it is.

Hi Uncle John. I have no templates but always use the Stewmac fret calculator: http://www.stewmac.com/freeinfo/Fretting/i-fretcalc.html Just type scale and number of frets and you'll get what you want.

PS: How does it sound? I was playing some Lanakai ukes a few weeks ago and they were great. That is what got me on the buy or build dilemma.
Like it and I am just yesterday and today really thinking about making a tenor uke. I am looking for a fretting template. Did you find one?
