  • Beautiful.

  • The Little Sister clone that MGB calls the Fat Bottom guitar will be used to make a Grand Funk Railroad tribute guitar. Mark Farner had one like it with the F-Holes and "Mustache" style Gold Foil pickups.

That's going back to 1970, way back there. LOL

  • I got one from MGB along with a top of the Little Sister type with the F Holes to make a couple project guitars.

I also plan to make a neck-thru design with a Red Oak six string neck to make a Firebird guitar. I will use the plywood top and bottom, but will substitute Poplar wings for the body core. This body style needs some weight to guard against neck-dive. I have 2 GFS Minibird pickups that are like the Snake Oil pickup and like the MGB Hot Tuna pickups, but the GFS pickups now have coil taps for half the output if needed. I like to get these pickups and convert them to Real Spec Firebird pickups with Alnico 2 Firebird magnets in each coil and steel reflector plate under the coils. It makes a big difference in sound. These pickups sound good already, but I like the original Firebird sound better, so I mod them. ;)

I like the way yours looks Korrigan, the wrinkle finish looks awesome.
