I used a rasp, then 80-grit, followed by 120-grit, followed, by 220-grit.

Nice rounding. I Have a 4 in hand rasp of my dad's that I like a lot for shaping. I have used a router to help round necks, but prefer to use the rasp and sand paper. I am almost an artist with my cheap-ass random orbital sander.
